Christmas with the Vincents

On Sunday we celebrated Christmas with the Vincent side of the family.  Chad's parents came to town and took us and my family out to Wildberry's.  Yum!!!  We went last year, too, and it's sooooo good.  Jordan had a great time eating lots of great food.

Gramma, Bubba, and Papa.
Jacquie and Joe.
Gamma and me.
After breakfast, we all went back to our house to open more presents.
Jordan wasn't tired of opening presents yet.  I think he likes presents.

After Jordan played with his toys, he watched his new Elmo DVD with Bubba and Gramma.  I took a nap because I was so tired.  It was nice.  I love naps!

Christmas Party

This year we didn't really go to any Christmas parties, just our Christmas celebrations with our families, but we did have a kind of mini Christmas party with our friends the Lanzara's!

Saturday after Christmas, they came over and played with their new toys and Jordan's new toys.  We had a nice meatloaf lunch, with macaroni and cheese for the non-meatloaf kids.  Believe it or not, both Chad and Jordan liked the meatloaf.

While the kids were playing, April and I made funfetti Christmas cupcakes.  Once they cooled we all decorated them with green frosting, sprinkles, and holiday M&Ms.  It was messy and fun and yummy!

I think Braden was having fun!  Look at the smile!
Jordan had no problem getting messy!  He had frosting all over!  Braden thought he was crazy!
And then Jordan didn't think he wanted to use his hands any more, he just wanted to put his face right into his cupcake.  What a silly kid!
Next, we tried to watch Kung Fu Panda and paint pinecones.  The kids pretty much just ended up playing.

Jake doing a great job with the brush!
Jordan just put his pinecone right into the paint.  He also put the paint all over himself.  What does it mean if you have a green chin?
Ta da!  After they were painted, we put glitter on the pinecones, too.  They looked really cool!
It was lots of fun to just relax at home and to spend time together.  Jordan was excited to have kids over to play.  I'm already excited for next year's Christmas Party!

Bowl Update

No, this is not a post about the NCAA football bowls that have been going on lately.  This is a post about my paper mache bowls that I made forever ago!  I gave two of them as gifts for Christmas.  They turned out pretty cool, I think.  Chad teased me because they were kind of lopsided in places, but I liked them.

The snowflake ones were my favorite!

Where Does It All Go?

...and then it was time to figure out what to do with all the great Christmas gifts.  We ended up getting a cool organizer shelving unit from Target that Jordan helped Chad put together so we could keep toys a little bit organized.  It's working so far.

As for the rest of the house, we've been trying to declutter and have been making piles for Goodwill.  Last night I cleared out the whole scraproom and we moved my big work table so now it is up against the window which leaves space for Jordan to play in our loft.  I'm really excited about my new...or, at least, improved improved space.  I'll post when I get it officially into shape!

Christmas at Home

We left Gamma and Papa's on Christmas afternoon to go home and have our own Christmas.  Jordan found a fun table and chairs that Santa brought him and a few presents from us.  Then it was time to really play with all the toys!
