Gaff Giveaway! and Me Update

It's finally a beautiful sunny day here!  I'm so excited!  Jordan will be at his mini-preschool camp this morning...while I get a fun mom morning.  I'm cashing in my free beverage at Starbucks, getting a pedicure, and then roaming Target.  It's going to be fun.  I also have a great book to finish (YA) and one that looks really good to pick up at the library.  That's only the morning.  

We've been slowly getting more and more ready for our new baby to come.  I have my hospital bag pretty much packed.  I did a couple loads of laundry with Deft (love it!) and even found some drawers that can be solely for the baby.  Jordan's drawers need to be figured out a little bit, I did make piles of his clothes but I hate transitioning from cooler weather to warmer weather.  We have a bucket that I got at my shower from my aunt, Guise, filled with the new baby toys and books just for the baby.  Jordan has been talking more and more about the baby.  I have noticed that he's been pretty snuggly with us lately.  He gives us lots of hugs and snuggles.  I think he realizes things are going to change when the baby comes.   I think that baby is getting ready to come...I've had cramps the last few nights/days which should mean I'm dilating at least a little bit.  My next appointment is tomorrow (Thursday) so we'll see then what my Dr. says.  Exciting times!

Cool Book Blog AND Giveaway

I just found out that the third book in The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor was recently released. Hello? Why didn't anyone tell me? Somehow I missed that it was released on the 16th. In my travels in the blog world I stumbled upon this blog: Ramblings of a Wanna Be Scribe. Sadly, I missed out on the ArchEnemy giveaway...but she just posted a shiny new giveaway starting today! Tattoo Giveaway!

Hey, guess what??? I got another package today from Knopf, my friendly-generous publishing company. They sent me The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo tattoos!!! I am super excited. I'll be contacting everyone who entered for the giveaway for the book The Girl Who Played With Fire so I can send them their cool tattoo! Anyone else who is interested in an oh-so-cool dragon tattoo, post a comment and tell me if you have a tattoo, or two, or twenty-seven, and tell me about it OR if you don't have a tattoo, tell me what kind of tattoo you would want and where you would get it if you were to ever get one. The first ten commenters get a tattoo!!! Cool, huh?

I have to tell you that I don't have a tattoo. I've thought about it. I got my belly button pierced in college but that's about as crazy as I get when it comes to such bodily fun. I had to take my belly button ring out when I got pregnant with Jordan so I don't even have that any more.

If I could get a tattoo I would definitely want a colorful one...not a black one, which Chad always points out are really green...but I pretend they are black. I think I would want something swirly, like the cool drawings/doodles my sister does with lots of fun colors. I think I would want it on my foot or my ankle, but then I could never wear sandals or capris at work because I would feel self-conscious about my tattoo and I've heard that it hurts if you get it where there is basically just bone there SOOOO that's why I don't actually have a tattoo. But I do like remove-able tattoos!
