Florida 2008 Part 3

Magic Kingdom!!!!!  I could barely sleep the night before...I was just so excited for the Magic Kingdom.  I couldn't wait for Jordan to see the Magic Kingdom and for him to meet Mickey and to ride rides!  I guess Jordan couldn't wait either...he was up at 5:00 a.m.!  That's okay though, we got ready, had breakfast, and were at the park for the opening celebration.  This is a picture of a Mickey face made with Mickey-shaped-glittery confetti!

Here I am with Jordan in front of the train station from just outside the main entrance to the park itself.  This hasn't changed as long as I have been coming to Disney.

Here is Chad with Jordan during the pre-park-opening show.  The look on Jordan's face when he saw Mickey was so cute.  He's just so sweet.  He calls Mickey Mouse "Mo-Mo".

From this picture you can really tell what kind of day it was.  It had kind of been this way the whole time were were in Florida, it would be rainy and overcast in the morning or in the afternoon, but then it could clear up within an hour.  It's not the most breathtaking picture, but it's Cinderella's castle...it's still awesome!

Okay, so you can see all the people making their way down Main Street to Cinderella's castle.  Seriously, by the time we were in front of the castle Jordan was knocked out!  I guess getting up so early took it out of him.  I kid you not, I looked at my watch and it was 9:05!!  We were glad to know that Jordan was capable of taking naps in his stroller, it just kind of changed our plans a little bit!

Instead of going to Fantasyland as we had planned...we made a detour over to the land that has Pirates of the Caribbean because I wanted to ride it now that it has been revamped.  They added Captain Jack Sparrow throughout the ride.  On the way there, we ran into Cinderella's fairy godmother.  She wanted to take a picture with our sleeping prince!

When Jordan woke up we rode Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride.  This was Jordan's first ever ride!  He had fun with dad!
(Sorry, I have no idea how to get the un-underlined!)

Now, we headed back towards Fantasyland.  On the way we stopped at the stage in front of Cinderella's castle where we saw the Dreams Come True (?) performance.  Here is Jordan looking oh-so-excited to see Mickey Mouse!!!  After seeing his face here we decided to skip Fantasyland and go straight to Mickey's house instead!  Jordan had to meet the mouse himself!

And here we are with Mickey and Minnie!!!!  Woo hoo!!!  Jordan was so excited to see Mickey up close for the first time.  He wasn't scared at all.  He shook Mickey's hand and gave him a kiss on his nose.  It was absolutely adorable.  This was probably my favorite part of the trip.  It was so cute to see him recognize Mickey and to be excited to see him.  We were kind of nervous that he might be scared of the characters, but he wasn't at all.  He couldn't get enough of them!  We love you Mickey!!

We let Jordan run around in the water at Donald's boat and then he played at Pooh's Thoughtful Spot for a little while before we headed over for lunch at the Crystal Palace where were would meet Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore.  Again, he was totally not scared.  He just thought they were so cool.  Eeyore wanted a high five and Jordan gave him one with no hesitation.  Usually, unless it's me or Chad, Jordan is too shy to give a high five.  He was excited to give Eeyore a high five though.  Jordan had fun watching all the characters walk around and meeting all of them.  The food was pretty good too.  There was definitely unique food here considering it was a buffet.  I got to try some new foods I had never tried before!  Yum!  The only sad thing was our battery was dying on our camera and I could barely get the shots I did get...so Jordan doesn't really look his best.

After lunch we rode the Pooh ride and then were pooped again and made our way back to our hotel.  We relaxed and hung out at the hotel.  Next, in Part 4: Blizzard Beach, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios!
