The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Most Recently Read Book:

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Great book!  I have to say that dolls being alive or being able to think kind of freaks me out.  I read The Doll People by Ann M. Martin not too long ago and that one really freaked me out, this story wasn't as bad, but it is still a little creepy.  This is the story of a porcelain rabbit (doll) who is, quite frankly, snotty, until he is separated from his owner, Abilene, and he is thrust into a harrowing journey.  I have to say I teared up at the end.  Super short but really sweet.

This is one of my all time favorite books. I read it every year to my students and they love it! Such a sweet story.

Oo, that does sound creepy! When I was like 5 years old maybe, I wished that my dolls would come alive and play with me just like they do in the children's video Wee Sing Grandpa's Magical Toys. and my dream kind of came true, that night I had a dream that my toys were jumping around the bedroom, only they were jumping around me like crazy and I was laying in bed and couldn't move :/ I don't know if you watched this video at all or liked it, but I did find a clip from it! Brings back memories. :)

PS Keep the pictures and videos coming of Jordie, I love seeing them! :)
