We are keeping up with our Monday Night Mall Rat sessions. It's so fun to be able to take Jordan out and have fun with friends. Sometimes it can be stressful...Jordan usually is begging for dinner right when we get there...or he's running into the toy store...last night he barely ate anything for dinner and then was crying to go and dance. The kids usually dance under this sign that plays music and advertisements. It's so cute. But it's worth the pain because it's fun to play with Alex and Maddy and to be able to chat with parent-adults.
Last night, we ventured into Barnes and Noble, which we have never done before as a group. Jordan found Goodnight Gorilla, which is a favorite of his. He loves the part where all the animals say, "Good night!" and then the lady whose bedroom they have crept into realizes there are animals in her room and all you see is complete black except for her eyes open wide. Jordan eagerly hopped right into Kathy's lap to hear her read the story, and Maddy and Alex looked on. Don't you just love it?
Every night before bed we have to read at least a few books to Jordan. He loves to pick the books and he sits so nicely. I love cuddling with him while we read books. Lately, he really likes books where he gets to touch something or lift flaps to see what's underneath.

Oh my goodness! Those pictures are so cute!! They love stories, and that is such a wonderful thing. I also love how Jordan is hiding my tummy roll. Yay, Jordan! :-)
I love the pictures too... Jordan is a great listener, and Maddy wasn't jealous letting him sit there! That's great too.
FUN.
Very Cute! I think we can say that we added another successful activity to our mall regimen.
We've only cracked the surface of the free "kid things" we can do in a mall. Might be a good idea for a book!
Hope Jordan has a speedy recovery.
