My Little Reader

Dear Jordan, My Little Reader:

I remember reading James and the Giant Peach and Love You, Forever to you when you were still inside my tummy. Daddy was reading One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish to you when you were only four days old.
I love that you love reading before we go to bed every night, whether it's with Mommy or Daddy. It's so fun to snuggle with you and read books while you pick fuzz from your eehee. Going to the library with you and seeing you pull books off of the shelf that you want to check out makes me smile. You love Thomas and Diego books but you also love Skippyjon and Trucktown books. And now you turn the pages yourself and are starting to realize that letters make sounds and that we read the words on the pages! You are becoming quite the reader. I'm so happy to see you love books the way I love books and loooooove you.

I hope you will always find comfort in a good book and be a lifelong reader!

Love, Mommy

Wow Jen! He looks so grown up flipping the pages. I can imagine your pride at him loving books so much. I just love to read and I really hope to have kids that love books as much as me one day. When I was growing up my mom used to have to tell me "Put the book down and go play outside!" How many parents have to say that???

I think Jordie loves to read as much as you do. This video es so cute! I have not met anyone that loves to read as much as you do, but I see Stephanie does too. You can read a book and totally ignore what's going on around you. I don't know how you to that. You must love it that much.

A lovely post; families can never have too many books or too much time sharing them. I wonder if Jordan would like High Five Magazine. Henry's grandpa sent him a subscription.

That picture is priceless! Thats awesome he loves to read so much! I have said a million times I am not much of a reader. But we have always read to Bailey and she loves it. She will go sit alone and look through books forever. It amazes me how much they get into it at such young ages!

You are such an example to me. I really hope I can pass my love for reading onto Charlotte like you have done for Jordan. He's so lucky to have you as his momma.
