Jordan's First Train Ride

This afternoon we decided to take Jordan on his first train ride!  We barely made it to the station in time...I was holding Jordan and running to the platform while Chad was grabbing the stroller...we did make it just in time though!  Jordan was excited to be on the train and had fun looking out the window.  We rode from Prairie Crossing to Deerfield where we got off.  Jordan played in Barnes and Noble and then we ate at Whole Foods.  By then it was time for us to get back on the train again.  It was a nice afternoon out and so much fun to take the train instead of the car.  We're thinking of doing a monthly train day now!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Daddy and Jordan

I know I don't comment often enough because I read your blog from Google Reader, but I just love to see your updates and the fun things you do with your family. How do you find time for it all???? Love the train ride video. He really is too cute!

Hey Jen and Chad,

The train is a lot of fun! You picked better weather than we did, but it was fun for us just the same. It's an adventure for the kids. It's fun how something as mundane as a train ride can be so exciting for kids. But it's always that way, isn't it? Think about your drive to work, and how exciting that drive would have been to do it as a 17 year old for the first time! ;-) Times sure have changed.

How did Bubba get by all this time without ever taking a train?
